Thanks, Mitch, for clearing the way for Breyer's replacement by Hayes Brown Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer will retire at the end of the term, freeing up a spot for President Joe Biden to fill. It's a move that liberal activists have been calling for over the last year, even as 83-year-old Breyer has been resistant. Now, whoever Biden names to fill the vacancy "will have one person to thank for their seat: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell," Hayes Brown writes.
